Parks & Recreation

Grove City is known for its lush parks and greenways—in fact, this town has over 320 acres of dedicated parkland and nearly two dozen individual parks. There's truly something for everyone, including an outdoor waterpark, a dog park, and multiple all-access playgrounds. As if that isn't enough, Grove City is also home to the Gardens at Gantz, one of the largest public herb gardens in the area. Additionally, older adults can have some fun at the Evans Center, which features plenty of year-round events and activities.

Historic Sites

Since its founding in 1852, Grove City has flourished into the modern suburb that it is today. However, residents haven't forgotten their roots...and you can tour many of the town's well-preserved historic sites. To learn a bit more about Grove City's past, check out the Gantz Homestead, which was erected in 1832. Here, you'll discover a unique meditation labyrinth, as well as the "Garden of Yesterday." Other historical destinations include the A.G. Grant Homestead and Century Village.

Even if you don't have children of your own, it's worth buying a home in a top-rated school district. Luckily, Grove City's younger residents are served by South-Western City Schools, a 22,840-student district that encompasses the southern gateway of Central Ohio. Here, children enjoy a low 20:1 student-teacher ratio, as well as a dedicated digital wellness program and Advanced Placement courses. SWCSD also has its own specialty schools, such as South-Western Career Academy.

Grove City might seem like a small town...but it's actually home to some of the coolest events on this side of the Scioto! Just head to Grove City Town Center to see what all the buzz is about—there's almost always something exciting going on, whether it's the Mistletoe Market, Christmas Parade, or the annual Bourbon Tasting. During the summer, tens of thousands of visitors come to experience Grove City's Wine and Arts Festival, which showcases some of the best wineries and artisans in all of Franklin County.
